The Conference relates to many private and public stakeholders on both sides interested in the effects of the crisis on developing countries of the Mediterranean. It will gather, in particular, concerned political and administrative officials, academic researchers of the Circle of the Economists, the Institute of the Mediterranean and Femise, major journalists commentators of the national press, representatives of private companies and interested banks, experts from the European Commission and major multilateral organizations.

Provide a platform to discuss the impacts of the global crisis in the Mediterranean partner countries of the EU identify and examine the different responses of the states and local governments.
Examine how this issue is taken into account in the multilateral (implements) devices (IMF, World Bank), and the Euro-Mediterranean devices, in particular the Union for the Mediterranean.
Open a debate to discuss the extent of foreseeable adjustments, present alternatives, given the degree of exposure of different Mediterranean countries to the risk of crisis and the specific nature of those risks.
